Marlen Millan-Osuna brings to Milord Law Group a passion for client advocacy and public service and believes it is imperative to defend intellectual property rights because it fosters the incentive to be creative and innovate.
Prior to joining the firm, Marlen worked with the Los Angeles City Council, and interned at Los Angeles City Hall where she was a Youth Ambassador to Los Angeles Council District Fourteen focusing on efforts to engage the youth of Los Angeles to participate in local politics. Motivated by change, Marlen presented her research and project to former President Obama’s senior policy writers at the White House. Marlen received her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Los Angeles, in Political Science and Global Politics, where she won the International Benjamin Gilman Scholarship, Model United Nations Delegation Award, and Dean’s Honor Roll list.
Her future plans include attending law school so she can continue to champion intellectual property rights alongside Milord and Stephanie in the courtroom, and holding public office in her local council district.
Marlen is a natural born leader and seasoned competitive cheerleader, so when she is not training for a meet, you will find her running a community outreach group in East Los Angeles where she is cheering for initiatives that provide folks with food security, shelter, and essential items.
In her limited spare time, she enjoys traveling, and getting to know different cultures and foods. Marlen studied abroad and lived in Sydney, Australia for a year. Additional international trips include France, Singapore, and Mexico, but her favorite place so far is the Philippines.
